Kurt has been fortunate to enjoy a design career that has been filled with professional collaboration, clients and colleagues who become friends, continuous learning, exploration, and creativity while emphasizing family, friends, and life’s many experiences. Kurt’s journey designing and implementing a diverse portfolio of projects nationally and abroad with a variety of multidisciplinary teams and unlikely collaborators has brought him to a place where Studio 2nd Street was formed to allow a continuation of our professional experience. This is our chance to empower team members and clients to engage creatively, explore opportunity and create meaningful, sustainable, healing, and engaging landscapes. All this while allowing Kurt to enjoy life with his wife, play with his grandchildren, mountain bike, shop farmers markets, care for his extended family, paint, game with his friends and take the dogs to the beach…often!
